Frequently asked questions

 1. Who can join Perth Social Soccer sessions?
Our sessions are open to players aged 18 and over with at least basic soccer skills, experience and knowledge. We welcome individuals looking for advanced-level social football in a friendly and competitive environment. 


2. What is the format of the games?
Formats are different for each session and do change from time to time. We mainly play 7-a-side games on grass pitches but all have some 5v5 futsal style sessions on turf as well. Teams are formed upon arrival, and each session lasts for one hour with a quick water break at half way. Most games there will be no substation players but occasionally we will have 1 rotating through the hour. 


3. Where and when are the sessions held?

Please refer to our Join a Session page for the latest schedule. Exact address locations will be provided in your booking confirmation that is emailed to you. Be sure to read and arrive early until you are familiar with the locations.


4. How do I register for a session?
Please RSVP in advance via the bookings page to secure your spot, as we limit numbers to ensure there’s no or limited bench time.


5. What should I bring to a session?
Bring two shirts: one in red, white, or orange, and another in black or blue, as teams are distinguished by these colours. Wear appropriate footwear for grass or turf surfaces, depending on the venue. You should also bring some water and any food, snacks you may need to keep your body fuelled. 


6. What if I don’t have red/white or orange shirt?

For your first 3 sessions you don’t need to worry, wear any shirt you have and we’ll make it work. If you start playing regularly, you’ll be expected to organise a shirt from any local retailer to ensure you have the correct coloured shirts.


7. Are there any fees involved? How do I pay?
Yes, there is a fee per session to cover pitch hire, equipment and admin costs. Pricing is displayed on our Join a Session page. Payment is to be paid on arrival either cash or bank transfer to my mobile number 0439938618.


8. Will there be enough players?  

Yes, We always have enough players but if I need to cancel for any reason, I will notify you at least 3hrs before the session via SMS.


9. What is the policy on cancellations or no-shows?
Please inform me as soon as possible if you cannot attend a session you've registered for. This allows us to manage player numbers effectively. If you do not notify me within 3hrs of the session start time it will count as a “no show” which will incur full fee of the session. Any attendee with outstanding no show fees will not be able to attend any future sessions until it is paid.


10. Are sessions held in all weather conditions?
Yes, sessions proceed in various weather conditions, including rain. However, in cases of severe weather, sessions may be cancelled for safety reasons. 


11. Is there a code of conduct for players?
Yes, we expect all players to exhibit sportsmanship, respect, and fair play. Unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in removal from sessions. We also don’t allow slide tackles or rough play.
